Komics get a breath of new life with characters you can actually relate too. With stories that come close to home. It's not always about saving the world, but having to deal with everyday life and it just so happens our characters have super powers

 

At Freestyel Komics we’re passionate about making komics that everyone can relate too and enjoy. Stories we believe in. FSK started with me, Michael Watson in 1999 at the Cleveland School of the Arts. I am the CEO, Editor, and Lead Line Artist for Freestyle Komics. I continued my education and honed my craft at the Columbus College of Art and Design where I graduated with a bachelor degree in Fine Arts and a focus in illustration.

 

I love komics and always wanted to work for the 2 big houses but after several attempts over several years, listening to their coaching I finaly thought I was going to break through. I was pulled aside by a rep and was told my art was spot on. Looks like I had paid attention to all they were saying to me. Then all of that praise was shot out the window when he stated my art was too urban for them. I could not believe what i was being told after all that work. Instead of dropping out I decided to begin FSK, make my own label where my art will grow. A komic label where anyone can be epic, where you see characters who look like you. 

 

I cannot lie I still would love to draw some of my favorite characters but they are going to have to come to me this time. The team of artist I work with is phenominal and we are bring the type of books that can stand next to the titans and hold weight if not surpass some of them.

 

FSK has seen its ups adn downs but we are definatly here to stay. So check us out there is going to be a character if not more here for you.
